The Korea Accounting Standards Board (KASB, Chair: Jee In Jang) renewed its website (www.kasb.or.kr) to make it more user-friendly, thereby more effectively fulfilling the needs for accounting information and strengthening communication channels. The renewed website opens on 4 April.

The revamped website follows Web Standards to support diverse operating systems and web browsers. The contents-oriented renewal included streamlining the design of the website to improve accessibility of information for website users. The website provides information in English on the activities of the KASB at home and abroad, data on local accounting standards, research materials, etc. to meet the demand of users.

About the KASB

The KASB is an independent private organization established on 1 September 1999 with the mission to set and revise accounting standards in Korea. The Board is committed to enhancing the quality of financial reporting by providing high quality accounting standards that are on a par with internationally accepted accounting standards. The KASB consists of 7 board members (2 of whom are full-time) who are professionals from the private sector.
